DAY 84 DAVID AND GOLIATH
Bible Passage: 1Samuel 17:4-11, 41-49.
Many times, in previous passages, you read about how the power of God works.
Goliath was so big (a giant) and so strong that he trusted in his strength and some gods.
David on the other hand was so small that his size even annoyed Goliath. David
however depended on God who is greater and stronger than any other power or god.
With just a small stone, he killed Goliath! The stone was packed full of God's power!
Do you trust in God or some gods? The other gods in our lives today are not
necessarily carved images but could be money, books, food, films, computer games,
TV etc. that we treat as though more important to us than God is.

TODAY'S ACTION
Is there anything that you put before God? That may be your little god. Pray now that
God will be first in your life and you will not think of anything as more important than
Him. Look for a piece of wood with a Y shape or make one form the branch of a tree
today. Also look for rubber bands and a piece of leather. If you can find them, then you
can make a sling like David's.
