WISE MEN VISIT JESUS

Bible Passage: Matt. 2:1-12

Some wise men study the stars and know when there is an unusual or strange one. That is how the wise men from the east knew the star that made them go to Bethlehem to look for Jesus. They knew he was someone special who was to be worshipped. Do you remember that prophet Micah had said that a ruler will come from Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)? Bethlehem is a town in Judah (Judea). The wise men gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
