JESUS IS TAKEN TO EGYPT

Bible Passage Matt. 2:13-18

Herod was afraid because the wise men had said that the baby was born to be the king of the Jews. He did not want anyone to take his place, so he killed all the baby boys in Bethlehem who were 2 years old or younger. He did not know where to find Jesus, since the wise men did not return to tell him. He thought that Jesus will be one of the little boys he killed, but God had taken care of that... Joseph had been told to take Jesus to Egypt in Africa! God warns us of danger today just as He warned Joseph

When God saw that all those who were trying to kill Jesus had died, He told Joseph to take him back to Israel. God protected Jesus from wicked Herod and took Him back home where He was to do His work. Joseph obeyed and took Jesus back. Jesus is called a Nazarene because He lived in Nazareth.
