DAY 77: CURSING IS BAD
Bible Passage: Judges 17:1-5
Today’s passage is very short but says a lot about how we forget to “love our neighbours as ourselves”. Micha’s mother had thought someone who was not a member of her family stole her silver, so she cursed the person. A curse is the opposite of a blessing. It means wishing bad things will happen to a person. Do you see how Micha’s mother immediately changed her curse to a blessing when she realized it was her son who stole the silver? As children of God, we must never curse people, even when they are not our relations. Come to think of it, we are all really relations if we are descendants of (come from) one man Adam and one woman, Eve!
TODAY’S ACTION
If you are in the habit of saying or wishing that bad things happen to people whenever they do something you do not like, you must pray now to be able to stop the habit. Ask God to bless them.
