DAY 72:  THE SIN OF ACHAN

Bible Passage: Joshua 7:1-4, 10-15

God is holy and cannot tolerate sin. Is it not frightening that the sin of one person can affect a whole group? Just because Achan took the things he was not supposed to take from Jericho after the walls fell, God punished all the Israelites. The very next place they tried to go into, even though not as strong as Jericho became a big problem for them. So many of them were killed and the rest became afraid. It is a great lesson that we must pray for every member of any group we belong to (family, class etc) that each member will fear and obey God.

TODAY’S ACTION

Think about the members of groups you belong to and pray for them. Tell at least one person about today’s story.
