Bible Passage : Joshua 5:10-15; 6:1-5, 15-20
Surprised? Well, I am also. Each time I read this story, I stop and think about the mighty power of God. I also think about how important it is to follow His instructions strictly. Can you imagine what the story might have been if instead of going round seven times on the seventh day, the people decided to go round only once and blow the trumpets? The walls of Jericho would have remained intact! What would have happened to the Israelites then? They would have been so disappointed and angry that they would start grumbling again, forgetting that they did not obey God’s instructions. When we obey God, problems come crashing down (fall), just like he wall of Jericho.
