Leviticus has amongst several laws that the Israelites were to keep, some on how to prevent illnesses and what the priest must do for sick people. Many of these laws especially those about foods do not apply to us today. You will see later in the New Testament how Jesus explained that it is not what goes in or out of our bodies that make us unclean but the thoughts of our minds. However, there are many laws even today about what to eat and drink to make us healthy as well as laws on cleanliness to protect us from diseases. God does not like dirt or sin.

Write out some of the things you know about keeping healthy. Show it to your mum, dad or a senior/teacher and ask about those diseases that can be prevented by immunization.
