Moses was a very wise man through whom God performed many wonders, yet he was not too proud to listen to advice. Jethro, his father-in-law saw how busy Moses was and knew that the work would wear him out.He gave him a suggestion that good managers still use today. That is why we have class prefects, class teachers departmental or unit heads, governors etc. who take care of many problems without the overall head (headmaster, principal, general manager, president etc.)
We should learn from both Moses and Jethro in this story. Jethro was not selfish or uncaring. He gave Moses a very good advice. Moses on his part was not proud or stubborn. He did not think that he knew better than everyone. He listened to good advice and tried it out. I am sure he was happier after he did.

Think of the many times you have disobeyed or disregarded the advice of your seniors, teachers or parents. Would it not have been better if you obeyed? Pray that God will help you to listen to good advice and put them into practice.
