DAY 46 CROSSING OF THE RED SEA
Bible Passage : Exodus 14:15-31
Moses cried to God for help when the Israelites were beginning to doubt the fact that God sent him to them to get them out of Egypt. They saw the sea in front of them and Pharaoh’s army behind and they lost all hope. They were so afraid that they forgot that God could help them: but God in His mercy still shifted His angel and pillar of cloud until they were between the Israelites and Pharaoh’s army. That way they could spend the night sleeping undisturbed!
I want you to take note that Moses did not just pray,he did what God wanted him to do. He TOOK A “STEP OF FAITH” by moving closer to the sea and stretching his hand over it. Taking a “step of faith” means doing something by trusting God for a good result. He was not afraid of drowning or of being attacked by animals, for example crocodiles that may be hiding by the sea, ready to kill and eat him.
He moved closer to the sea and stretched his hand over it and what happened? THE SEA PARTED AND THE ISRAELITES CROSSED OVER ON DRY GROUND. HALLELUYAH! Pharaoh’s army followed after the Israelites but the water covered and drowned them. It was only then that the Israelites had faith in God and in His servant, Moses.
TODAY’S ACTION
Thank God for His Metcy to you even when you doubt Him. Remember, you should not just pray, but also take necessary action by doing what God asks you to do. God speaks even to little children. You may not hear Him as a human voice but in your mind you will know that He is saying something to you.
