ISAAC, THE SON OF ABRAHAM
Bible Passage Gen. 17: 17-19, 21: 1-7
God always fulfils His promises. Even though Abraham and Sarah were very old and Sarah had passed childbearing age, God still gave them the promised child, Isaac. Through Isaac, the great nation promised Abraham started. He was the father of Jacob (later called Israel), Gen 32:28 and the children of Israel were many. Through his generations, Jesus was born and through Him, everyone who believes He is his/her Saviour is a child of God ... one big family; one big nation of Christians.
God has many promises for us even today and He will fulfill them, if we do His will.
There are several of them you will come across as you read your Bible daily.
TODAY'S ACTION
Look through your Bible and write out two promises that you want to claim. Pray that you may be able to trust God to fulfill these promises at the right time. Thank Him in your prayer for promising to provide your needs.
