Bible Passage : Gen. 19: 12 - 29
Many cities in today's world are like Sodom and Gomorrah.
The people living in them are sinful and disobey God in various aspects of their lives. There are robbers, murderers, cheats, people of loose morality, worshippers of money and other worldly things just as there were in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Many cities in the world today would have been wiped out like these two cities but because God loves us, He gives us a chance to change. Think of the village, town, or city you are living now. Is it free of these terrible sins?
Lot's wife is another person punished severely because of disobedience. What happened to her when she disobeyed? (see verse 26).
TODAY'S ACTION
Pray for your village, town or city, that God will touch the people and change them from their sinful ways. Determine not to do anything that will displease God. If you see your brother or sister or friend doing the wrong thing, try to correct them lovingly. Remember what you read today about disobedience.
