THROUGH THE BIBLE DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR CHILDREN

 THE BOOK OF TITUS

Titus was not a Jew but he became a Christian and worked with Paul.  In Crete where Titus was sent to help the church, there were many people of bad character.  This letter of Paul was to tell Titus about the type of people who should be church leaders and how he is to teach the different people in the church.

THE ADVISE TO TITUS

Bible Passage: Titus 1:5-16

Titus was left in Crete to continue the work of the gospel.  He was to choose elders who would lead in each town.  As Paul did to his other co-workers, he wrote to Titus to advise him on how to do his work.  You will notice that in Crete, there were also those who preached the wrong things.  Titus was advised to be firm with them.  In choosing elders, he was to see that they were the type of people described by Paul in this passage.
