Instead of wasting time on teachings about laws that do not determine the salvation of people, Paul in today's passage wants Christians to concentrate on love and true faith. We have come across several passages which dealt on laws about foods, drinks, et cetera but the emphasis today is not on what to eat or drink or tradition. Jesus also warned us not to worry about the foods we eat but about the words which come out of our mouths.
