To be a leader in the church, one must be a Christian who has the characteristics Paul describes in today’s passage. Leadership must not be simply based on age or how rich a person is. Some children or young adults are given positions of leadership in the church because they show good character and can do the work better than elder people. You should not think you are too young to be a leader. There are different duties for different ages, so you should make yourself available for God's work. That means you must be of good character.
