JESUS VISITS MARTHA AND MARY

Bible Passage Luke 10:38-42.

Martha welcomed Jesus to her house.  She lived with Mary.  Both were sisters to Lazarus whom Jesus raised from death lived in Bethany (John 11:1)

Martha was busy doing so many things (maybe trying to prepare food for Jesus) but Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, listening to Him.   Do you remember a passage in Ecclesiastes that said "there is a time (season) for everything?  Well, it seems Jesus wanted to use the time to teach them and therefore He told Martha that Mary had chosen something better.  The time was for learning, not for  doing other things.

TODAY'S ACTION

Pray that you do not do other things when you should be learning about God or doing something for God's kingdom.
