SIMEON, ANNA AND JESUS

Bible Passage  Luke 2:25-38

Simeon was a good and godly man.  Prophetess  Anna was also a godly, dedicated woman.  Both of them were able to see Jesus before their deaths.  God shows good people many great things.  They are loved and God likes to be good to them and bless them.  Simeon and Anna were very sure that Jesus was a special baby.  Simeon called Him "God's Salvation" He also called Him a light and an honour to His people.  Simeon told Mary that Jesus is a sign that many will not accept and that her heart will be sad about some things.  Of course, he was right!

TODAY'S ACTION

Pray that you will be good in God's sight, so that He can show and give you good things.

Write a list of:

a.         How Jesus was not accepted by many of those He came in contact with during His life on earth.

b.         Things that happened that made His mother, Mary sad.
