The gospel according to John also reports the special person that Jesus Christ was, the miracles He performed, His death and resurrection.  John is the only one who mentioned that before the world was created, the WORD existed and He was with God and He was the same as God (John 1:1).  In the next few days, we will read stories not recorded by Matthew, Mark and Luke.

THE WEDDING IN CANA

This story about the first miracle performed by Jesus makes one realise that His mother was aware of His supernatural powers.  Why did she come to Him and not to so many others who were there?  Of course, God revealed the glory of Jesus to His disciples and even those who might have doubted before, believed in Him.

The wine that Jesus gave them did not have alcohol.  It takes time before the sugar in plants and fruits changes to alcohol. The process is called "fermentation" Non-alcoholic “wine” (grape juice) is available.

*TODAY'S ACTION*

Look in a dictionary for the meaning of fermentation.  Pray that those who use today's story as an excuse to drink alcohol will repent.
