DAY 132 SUFFERING FOR OTHERS
Bible Passage Isaiah 53:1-12
This chapter of Isaiah as you will see later when we start reading about Jesus, is the
only chapter in the Bible that fully describes things about Jesus. It tells us who Jesus
was, how people treated him and why he came to the earth. Jesus suffered as described
so that you and I may not perish but have eternal life (that is to live forever in heaven
with God). Sometimes, we have to go out of our normal way of doing things to help
others. It is a kind of suffering because it would have been easier to do it our own
normal way. We need to do this sometimes just to make others happy. If Jesus could do
so much for us, then we ought to try to do whatever we can for others.
