THROUGH THE BIBLE DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR CHILDREN
EZRA
The book of Ezra is a record of the return of exiles from Babylon to Jerusalem. The temple was built and worship began again. Ezra was among the second lot of exiles who returned to Jerusalem. He was an expert on the laws of God so he helped the people to start worshiping in the right way and to keep God’s law.

THE ENEMIES PRETENDING TO BE FRIENDS
Bible Passage: Ezra 4:1-6,12-16
Sometimes the devil uses some people against the children of God. They pretend as if they are friends but they actually want us to sin against God. The enemies in today’s passage said they wanted to help build the temple, but look at what they wrote in their letter to the king. Instead of relying on only what people tell us, we must pray for God to direct us in everything we do. That does not mean disobeying our parents, seniors or teachers but knowing that no one is too young to pray to God for guidance.

TODAY’S ACTION
Pray that when the devil makes people pretend to be friends the Spirit of God will let you know of their bad plans
