DAY 43 THE GUIDING PILLARS
Bible Passage: Exodus 13:17-22
The passage of today makes it plain that God does not leave us to face our problems by ourselves. He promised to stand by all those who believe in Him. He proved to the Israelites that He always fulfils His promises. The Israelites did not know their way but God have them Moses as their leader and also led them Himself in the form of a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. He was physically (could be seen as a form) present with them.
You may wonder if God is there when you cannot see Him physically, but I assure you, He is there with you even though in the Spirit. Human beings cannot see spirits whether they are good or bad ones but we can talk to them or listen to them. We talk to the Spirit of God when we pray to Him and we can listen to His voice telling us to do right things. Those who talk to or listen to the devil and other evil spirits end up in trouble.
If you want to listen to God, read your Bible passages daily and listen when your pastor or Sunday School teacher is speaking. Also ask the Holy Spirit of God to talk to you as you talk to Him in prayer.
TODAY’S ACTION Pray now about what God had said to you today about trusting Him to be with you always. Tell Him that you know He is there even though you do not see Him and that you will continue to talk to Him several times each day. Promise to listen to Him as He speaks to you through the Bible, other Christians and through His Holy Spirit inside you. If you have not yet asked Him to come into your life, then DO SO NOW prayerfully
