DAY 24:  JACOB BLESSES JOSEPH'S CHILDREN

Bible passage : Gen 48:14-19

Joseph knew that his father was old and ill and therefore could die. He took his sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him to see his father (48:1). According to the Jewish tradition, a man blesses his children and sometimes, other members of the family before dying. The things Jacob said while blessing them is a proof of his sincere faith in God. He passed on his faith and belief to Joseph's children and his other children.

TODAY'S ACTION

Pray that when you grow old, you will be able to teach your children God's ways and help them to put their trust in God. You will be able to do so only if you also have faith in God and trust Him for every aspect of your life. Draw Jacob blessing the children and show it to your friends. Tell them how we can pass God's blessings to others through prayer.
