DAY 16 JACOB'S PROBLEMS FROM MARRYING MORE THAN ONE WIFE
Bible passage: Gen. 29: 15-30, 30:1
Jacob did not plan to marry more than one wife. He wanted to marry Rachael but because of tradition, he had to marry two sisters and as a result of this, even their maids. According to the Bible (Gen 2:24), marriage should be between only one man and one woman. Marrying more than one woman leads to problems, some of which Jacob had with his wives (Gen 29:30,31 and 30:1) for example, envy and hatred.
TODAY'S ACTION
Pray for your family and other Christian families that God will help all members to love each other and that they will not allow tradition to make them disobey God.
