JESUS DIES

Bible Passage  Mat.  27:45-56 (Also in Mark 15: 33-41, Luke 23:44-49 and John 19:28-30)

Why was it the day Jesus was crucified that at noon (12 o'clock) when the sun should be very bright that there was sudden darkness.  The darkness lasted for 3 hours and at the end of it, Jesus died.  The curtain on the temple which separated the Holy place from where the people worshipped was torn into two from the top to the bottom.  The earth shook and rocks broke apart.  These were all signs that the person dying was not ordinary.  Even the soldiers, having seen the signs said "Truly, He was the Son of God".
