FULFILLMENT OF THE PROPHESY TO HEZEKIAH
Bible Passage: 2 Kings 24:1-7
Do you remember the prophecy given by Prophet Isaiah to King Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:16-18)? Today’s passage marks the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecy. Everything including all those very expensive things that king Solomon had decorated or placed in the temple and all the strong and rich people will cut it off into captivity in Babylon.
A person in captivity is treated like a prisoner or slave, no matter how rich or powerful he was before. They have to serve those who captured them and will be all their laws. Sometimes they are not even allowed to pray to their own God so the generations after Hezekiah started their suffering.
Could it have been prevented? If Hezekiah had not been so selfish he might have prayed for God‘s mercy and forgiveness but he did not.

TODAY’S ACTION
Pray against the spirit of selfishness in all areas of your life. Ask for the spirit of love that will make you think of what might happen to others in the future as a result of what you are doing today.
