JOSIAH, A VERY YOUNG KING

Bible Passage: 2 Kings 23:1-7

Would you like to become a king at the age of eight years? Josiah was Mitch King at this age. The other king who was very young but forced on the people by a wicked queen was Josiah who was made king at the age of seven years (2 Kings 11:21). To be a King means to think about the problems of other people in addition to your own! Of course today, kings and queens and other country leaders (Presidents, Prime Ministers etc.) have assistance to take care of a lot of problems. Apart from solving problems the kings of old gave the people spiritual leadership. If they worshipped God, the people will worship Him and if they worshipped idols, the people would do the same. Josiah, unlike many of the older kings before him did not worship idols but repaired God’s temple and worshipped Him.
