Even though Moses and Aaron finally listened and obeyed God's instructions, the Isrealites to whom they were sent doubted them. They did not believe it could be God who sent Moses and Aaron because instead of reducing their problems, more were added. They probably didn’t pray to ask God if he had sent the two men and that is why they doubted.
Sometimes, when we do God's will, we suffer. That does not mean we will not be rewarded and blessed in the end.
