   BAD REPORTS ON TWO CHURCHES

Bible Passage: Revelation 3:1-6, 14-18.

Unlike the good reports of the churches at Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira and Philadelphia, the church in Sardis and the one in Laodicea had bad reports. The church in Sardis was said to be "dead" because it was doing less than God expected. The one in Laodecia was said to be "lukewarm, neither hot nor cold" and God was going to "spit it out of His mouth", that is, throw it away. God has a record of how we are all doing. Every member of a church is important in making sure that the church pleases God.
