A good soldier must be prepared at all times. Paul tells us who the enemies are and why we must put on the whole armour God. Look at each of the things the olden day soldiers used to put on. Soldiers today use different weapons but the message here is clear. They are spiritual weapons for Defence and attack. When Satan tempts is or does things to harm us, we must defend ourselves. When we tell others The Good News, we attacking Satan’s kingdom and must be well prepared with the armour of God fully on.

List the weapons and things of protection that soldiers used long ago and the ones used now. List the spiritual weapons that they represent for example a shield represents faith.
