PAUL'S FINAL SAY ON CIRCUMCISION*
Bible Passage Galatians 6;11-18
Circumcision (removal of the loose skin covering at the tip of the male private part) is a Jewish tradition which has become tradition in many other parts of the world. According to an Old Testament law, a male child must be circumised by the 8th day. Some Galatians had problems, thinking that a person is not a Christian if he is not circumcised. Paul settled the problem by this part of his letter to the Galatians. Since it is not by the law or tradition that we have salvation, but by our faith in Jesus Christ, we should not allow tradition to prevent people from becoming Christians.
