Bible Passage  1 Corinthians 8:7-12

Among the laws God gave to the Israelites through Moses is the one that says "You shall not worship any other gods beside me". When we eat the foods offered to idols, we are not obeying this law because offering of foods is part of the activities in the worship of idols. Paul  explains that even though the food does not do us physical harm, we should not eat it, because our eating it may make another Christian fall. We should never do things which will put doubts about Christianity in the minds of others, especially new converts.

TODAY'S ACTION

Do you remember the idols or gods mentioned in previous passages? List them. Ask mummy, daddy or your teacher about some idols worshipped in your country.
