Do you remember when we read about evil spirits who recognized Jesus? Well, the one in the girl in today's passage also recognized that Paul and Silas were the "servants of The Most High God". Casting the spirit out of her angered those who had been using her to make money so they sent Paul and Silas to jail. Instead of being sad in jail however, Paul and Silas sang praises to God and see what happened!! In all situations, we must praise God.
