 THE LORD'S SUPPER

Bible Passage -  Mat. 26:26-30 (Also in Mark 14:22-28, Luke 22:14-20, 1 Cor. 11:23-25).

While they were eating the Passover meal, Jesus did something which is called "The Lord's Supper".  He look some bread, thanked God for it, broke it and gave it to His disciples.  He said it represented His body.  Then He also gave them wine which He called His blood.  Jesus said it should be done in remembrance of Him and that is why it is still done in churches today.  In most churches, you cannot take it until you have been baptized or had your confirmation of faith in Christ.  It is called “The Holy Communion”

TODAY'S ACTION

When next you take part in (communion) the Lord's supper remember what Jesus said about the bread and the wine.  Pray now for those who do not know what Jesus did for them, that they will hear the Good News soon.
