JESUS GOES TO JERUSALEM AS A KING

Bible Passage Mat. 21 1-11 (Also in Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19)

Do you remember what Prophet Isaiah (Is. 62:11) and Prophet Zechariah (Zech. 9:9) said about a king riding the colt of a donkey?  Well, Jesus rode on the colt of a donkey and people spread their clothes and palm fronds for Him to go on.  They were shouting behind and in front of Him as they would do for a king.  When he entered Jerusalem, the city was filled with excitement just as it would be when a king entered.
