JESUS SAYS WHO JOHN THE BAPTIST IS

BIble Passage Mat 11:7-15 (also in Luke 7:18-35)

Remember how the prophets we read about in the Old Testament used to talk about things that will happen in the future? The one about John the Baptist was recorded by prophet Malachi (Malachi 3:1). Jesus referred to what the prophet said about John to let the people know that Malachi's prophesy was true. There are prophets today, but not all of them say the truth. We must not believe them all the time, but pray to God to show us the true ones.

TODAY'S ACTION

Pray that the children of God will always remember to ask God if what prophets say are true before believing and taking action.
