THE TWELVE DISCIPLES
Bible Passage Mat 10:1-15 (also Mark 3:13-19 and Luke 6:12-16)
Of all his followers, Jesus chose 12 disciples. A disciple is someone who is trained over a period of time by the leader/teacher or master. He/she and the leader do things together so that the disciple can learn. The 12 disciples of Jesus were Simon (Peter), James, John, Andrew, Phillip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (Alpheus), Thadeus, Simon and Judas Iscariot.
