Sometimes, people want you to believe what they are saying as the truth and so, they swear. They say “I swear by ---- that what I am telling you is true”. Even the law courts make people swear by the Bible or the Quoran or other religious books. Jesus however teaches that we should never swear. When we are making promises, we should not swear; it is enough to know that we must keep our promise.

TODAY’S ACTION

Are you in the habit of swearing or making promises you know you will not keep? You must stop the habit today and ask God for forgiveness.
