CHRISTIANS ARE LIKE SALT AND LIGHT

How does soup or rice without salt taste? Do you enjoy food which has too much salt? A good cook is one who knows how much salt to put so that it is not too much or too little. Jesus said Christians are like salt to the others in the world. We must make them see the good part of life. The passage we read yesterday tells us how. Do you like darkness? A lot of us prefer light to darkness. If you light a candle and take it into a dark room, the whole place brightens and you can see things in the room. That is how a Christian should bring happiness into the lives of others. When we tell people about Jesus or do good to them, we bring light into their lives.
TODAY’S ACTION
When it is dark tonight, light a candle and list how many things you can see. Then switch on the electric light and note how many things you could not see with the candle. There are different types of light just as thereare different kinds of Christians.
